The Lagunitas Experience is a permanent outdoor installation in Northern California: projection, architectural lighting, and 3D spatial audio, all real-time interactive, driven by live LiDAR and sensor data, all orchestrated by Lightpath. It demonstrates how Lightpath operates at scale, tying other best-in-class software together into one system that a team can run for years.

The stack, and how it fits together

Best-in-class software, tied into one system.

Lightpath: pixel mapping, orchestration, and the control UI. The brain of the install.
Unreal Engine: real-time rendering.
Modulo Pi: projection mapping.
Spatial: 3D multi-channel audio.
TouchDesigner (under Lightpath): custom C++ ingests live Ouster LiDAR, a system plugin feeds it in, and custom sources turn the data into generative content in real time. Lightpath coordinates the real-time tracking across Unreal, Modulo Pi, and TouchDesigner.

In daily operation

Run for years, not just opening night.

Monitored end to end: all 30+ devices watched with alerts, so problems get caught before the client notices.
Verify mapping remotely: a live feed of the projections streams straight to the browser to check the real-world result.
On-site control: an on-site iPad runs the interface for staff.
